Possible New Fire Emblem Game?

While I'm still playing that series, too? I don't think that has happened yet! Apparently, some Japanese magazine claims that their issue next month will be one for Fire Emblem fans to look forward to.

By the way, Fire Emblem just came in the mail, so I'm playing that. (It's also known as Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword.) I think the main reason that this announcement will be while I'm still playing the series is because it's so soon after Shadow Dragon's release.

Game Boy's 20th Birthday!

That's right. Twenty years ago, on April 21, 1989, the Game Boy was first released in Japan and the world was introduced to, um, the world of portable gaming!

These portable little guys led to all sorts of games we love, like Link's Awkening, Metroid II, and Pokémon! Go pick up one of those games and play through it, before the Game Boy turns twenty years and a day old! :P

Itoi Likes Animal Crossing

(Quick info for the uninformed: Shigesato Itoi is the creator of the MOTHER/EarthBound series.)

This is cool, since I've been playing Animal Crossing: City Folk a lot recently and I have associated somewhat in the past as sort of the "3d EarthBound game," although it's obviously a different game.

Itoi's town is called Nikonikori Village and his house (in-game house, that is) is based on Porky in MOTHER 3 very much. It's really kind of creepy.

Spirit Tracks at Zelda Reorchestrated

Spirit Tracks Trailer
Spirit Tracks Trailer Soundscape

Zelda Reorchestrated posted these two remixes of the song used in the Spirit Tracks trailer. They're pretty cool, so check them out. The second one takes a few seconds to really get going, though.

For some reason, these songs remind me of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Someone who knows more about music could probably figure out why. *coughtherestofmyfamilycough* I was looking through the Radiant Dawn music recently, so it's relatively fresh in my mind.

I ordered Fire Emblem online yesterday (the seventh one, remember), so I'll be starting that game sometime soon.

Rotom Secret Key Event!

I have caught wind of a new Pokemon event concerning the Secret Key, which allows you to obtain a Rotom that can change into one of five different forms. It will be taking place at Toys 'R' Us from April 20th to May 12th, but can also be downloaded in Platinum.

I'm not actually sure if the key allows you to obtain the Rotom in the first place or simply changes it. I'm trying to avoid as many spoilers for Platinum as I can right now, as I have yet to play it. (I have to play through Fire Emblem first. XP) I am not sure the download will work for Diamond and Pearl, so those who have no Platinum will have to head over to Toys 'R' Us to get it.

210 Pokémon, the Sinnoh Pokédex

Marriland recently posted this great video on his YouTube channel:

This goes through all 210 Pokémon in the Platinum Sinnoh Dex and shows you where to find them. For the first bit, before he starts talking, he shows you all the Pokémon you absolutely should see during your playthrough. He then explains where they all are. If you're having trouble completing the Sinnoh Dex and accessing the rest of this game, this video is a huge help. It's pretty cool to watch even if you aren't looking for help.

Shadow Dragon Completed!

... Which is ironic, because I had decided earlier today that the Endgame chapter was impossible to complete, then beat it in a completely legit, non-cheap way. Most of the guys I was using died, though. XP I got really lucky against Medeus, too.

Next is Fire Emblem - as in the first U.S. release, the seventh one, translated as Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword.

I'm not playing all the Japan Only games because that would take way too long, and I doubt I could beat the sixth one. XP

Dangit, Reggie!

I recently caught wind of this interview with Reggie Fils-Aime. (I'm seriously stuck on the pronunciation of his last name.) EarthBound fans know him mainly for his bad history with MOTHER 3, refusing to release it in the U.S. and all that. When asked about MOTHER 3, he gave almost the usual vague answer.

The thing that surprised me most (and I thought the mention of this earlier in the week was an April Fool's joke) was that REGGIE ACTUALLY LIKES MOTHER 3!!! Unfortunately, despite liking the game and feeling the burn from the fans begging for its release, Nintendo of America is still not working on it.

Many people, including myself, already played Tomato's MOTHER 3 Fan Translation. According to Tomato himself, he's completely willing to let Nintendo of America use his translation absolutely free of charge, credit, whatever. Next to that, they know how to contact him. Saying that I expect them to officially release Tomato's translation would be wishful thinking, though, especially considering the series's history.

Silver Crisis Opening

MegaBlaster recently posted this new intro to his series, Silver Crisis:

I would be very happy if I was as good at this as him. :P It seems that he recently started filming with hacks, though, and I don't have any. I don't find myself very willing to use hacks for anything. I'm not about to delete all my Twilight Princess save in order to download the Homebrew Channel, either.
I tend to like MegaBlaster's choice of music, mostly because I've never heard most of the music he uses. >_< I'm somewhat limited on my music choices because all the game music I have that I can use has already been heard by most Smash Bros. fans and any of the CD-type music might get my videos taken off of YouTube, like some of the Guitar Hero videos my brother watches. :(

Asui Gaiden: Episode Three

Here it finally is.
